Most loved and cherished husband and best friend of Bess. Wonderful and huggable Dad and father-in-law of Marissa and Douglas, Emily and John, Naomi and Sean, Jordan and Emily Kate. Beloved Bampa of Escher, Coco, Eli, Milo, Indy and Ari. Gordon died peacefully at home, surrounded by all his loving family, just as he wanted. He's now on his eternal adventure with Jesus - full of joy and holy laughter. There will be a private scattering of his ashes and a public celebration of his life at a later date.

I remember Gordon as a colleague at Waimea College in the 1990s before their shift to Golden Bay. His big bushy beard his friendly manner and his companionship as a fellow Christian teacher. We will pray for Bess and the children granchildren and whanau.God bless dear Gordy.
