Sorry to learn of Gordon´s passing and my condolences to his family.During my time in the CPM´S office Palmerston North I met Gordon going about his Managerial and Union business.
Gordon was always immaculately dressed and greeted us all with a big smile.Always easy to get on with and he really knew his departmental and union business very well.
I know he will be sadly missed by family and friends.

I would like to express my condolences to Ellen and Richard & family on the passing of Gordon.
I worked with Gordon at the PNRSA November 2006 to January 2012. Many Tuesday night closings, Thursday nights and Saturday mornings shifts together.
Gordon had wicked sense of humour, always telling jokes and many stories. He was always telling me you must do it this way when I could do it my way quicker.
Gordon hounded me in to become the secretary then treasurer for the Manawatu Branch of the GSA and I held the positions for about 5 or so years while he was chairman. Many Committee meeting, compiling the newsletters, stuffing envelopes, and arranging AGM´s and lunches for members.
Gordon always told many stories about the projects and kind deeds done by the lions within the area. I remember Gordon also was involved in real estate for awhile too.
I always bumped into you both at the supermarket over the years but lately was at MetLife care rest home where you both were after selling your house. I´m glad, that I got to see you before you moved to Nelson to be closer to Richard & family.
You will be sadly, missed by all that knew and met you over the years.
R.I.P Gordon.
