Giuseppe CITRIGNO Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announces his sudden passing on September 8, 2021 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Ines for 61 years. Loving father of Anna Marie Mahaffey (Ken), Yvonne Layne (Todd) & Frances Moar,
Caring nonno of Amanda, Danielle (Jordan), Milo (Alyssa), Dorian, Austyn (Nicola), Eryka and bis-nonno of Brayden and Kierra.
He is survived by; his sisters Giulia Mazzotta (late Benito), Maria Esposito (Vincenzo), his sisters in-law Giuseppina Citrigno (late Nicola), Candida Citrigno (late Antonio) Teresa Citrigno (late Michele), Marcella Citrigno (late Mario), Nicoletta Citrigno (late Vincenzo), brother in-law Franco Carbone (Lina) and by his son in-law Jordy.
Predeceased by his parents Salvatore Citrigno and Teresa Vommaro, by his sisters Assunta Tiano (Vincenzo) and Ida DeCicco (Giovanni), by his brother in-law Rocco Carbone (Franca) and by his sister in-law Dora Pascuzzo (Paolo). Giuseppe loved to work in his garden with his wife Ines. Together they enjoyed many trips to Cuba. He rode his bicycle until he was 89 years old. Giuseppe was very competitive at playing cards, always looking forward to playing with his son in-law and grandsons. He adored his get-togethers with his family, especially his grandchildren.

The Citrigno family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. Vigil will be recited at the funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. Therese of Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, 379 Fares Street, Port Colborne, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Janusz Roginski as celebrant. Rite of Committal with Entombment will follow at Pleasantview Mausoleum. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Association.
