Sincere condolences to Helen and Family with the passing of Gerry.
Single young man who arrived from the Netherlands, met and married Helen which lasted 67 years - a great and fantastic achievement.
Gerry was a true character, a gentleman, loving husband, father and grandfather
A true friend to all New Zealanders he met along the way, one of a kind who we will never forget.
Rest in peace Gerry - a Life well lived.

I remember Gerry from the days in Parnassus. I was just a young kid & Gerry would come to our farm & help my father Charlie with fencing etc. He was always so friendly to me

I'm sad to read this. I have a fond memory of Gerry eating out a pot while the cat ate out of Gerry's pudding bowl on the kitchen table back in 1991 when they came to visit us in Port Chalmers. Gerry was a wonderful guy full of real character. They humourous type of person one never forgets. Thinking of your sad lose.
