Gerald MAY Obituary

Gerry passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Christchurch Hospital on Monday, January 29, 2024. Aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Barbara. Loved Dad of Stephen and daughter-in-law Nessie, son Robert and daughter Tracey. Family would like to thank the staff on ward 14 for their care. Such sadness as I write this message. I only cared for him a short while but he was a lovely man and he showed nothing but kindness and a wonderful sense of humour. Rest now Gerry. Thoughts are with you Nessie and Stephen

Gerry was my boss for a number of years, he was approachable and fair, he was liked by many and always joined in at social functions as not just our boss but a fun person to be around.
Many years later I happened to meet Gerry, he remembered me, was just as friendly and stopped for a lovely chat.
Thank you Gerry for making my first job an amazing experience.
