Our beautiful and brilliant Gael passed away peacefully, at Nelson Tasman Hospice, aged 76 years. Dearly loved mother of Marc (Denmark), Stephen (Sweden) and Regan and Alan Williams of East Takaka. Beloved grandmother of Dominic, Holly, Kristoffer, Ella and Sam. Treasured sister of Cecile, Carmel, Dorothy, Peter, Trisha, Antony (dec), Lillian, Richard, Brian, Graeme, and Joan. Treasured sister-in-law. Much loved auntie to her many nieces and nephews. Talented fabric artist and quilter. Champion of music and the arts. Valued member of our Golden Bay community, and a loyal friend of many. A celebration of her life was held at the East Takaka Hall last Sunday. The family wish to thank Golden Bay District Nurses, Dr Hannah, Dr Jodie and the incredible Nelson Tasman Hospice, The Cancer Society, GB Lions, Society of St Vincent de Paul, Matuku Funerals, friends and our wonderful Golden Bay community. Our deepest sympathy,love and prayers to you Regan ,John, Dominic and Holly on the loss of your dear Mum,mother in law and Grandma.
Gael was beautiful, full of love, her infectious laugh and good advice,a beautiful dressmaker who made my frock and my daughters frock for your wedding.
May the rewards of heaven be hers, rest easy dear Gael , to her lovely daughter, son in law and grandchildren may your memories sustain you.
