THORNTON, Freda Helen
(Helen) (nee Taylor):
Passed away peacefully at Green Gables Care Centre, Nelson, on Thursday, February 3, 2022; in her 95th year. Beloved wife for 64 years of Royd (deceased). She will be greatly missed by her children Simon, Deborah, Melanie, Amanda and Fiona, their partners and her grandchildren Dylan, Ayla, Zoe and Juliet. A private family service for Helen has been held according to her wishes. Wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, tramper, traveller, botanist. The family is very grateful for the care given to Helen by the staff at Green Gables and Dr. S. Neas. Messages to The Thornton Family, C/- 41 Nile Street East, Nelson 7010.
