Francis PROUTING Obituary

27.1.1942 - 1.2.2026

Frank passed away peacefully at Nelson Hospital, at the age of 84. He will be dearly missed by his 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Loved by his brothers Donald Prouting, Laurie Prouting, Ray Prouting, Peter Prouting (dec), and Allan Prouting (dec), and sisters Jenny de Boer, and Valmai Brown (dec), and his many friends. Frank will be remembered for his flying, mountain climbing, pop in visits around lunch time, and for his ability to make friends wherever his many adventures took him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wakefield Homestead Meals on Wheels service and may be left at the service. Messages to the Prouting family, PO Box 472, Ashburton 7740. A service to celebrate Frank's life will be held at Peel Forest Community Hall on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 1.00pm. Friends are welcome to join the family for the burial to be held at Mesopotamia Cemetery on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 9.00am.

May Frank's lastflight home be a peaceful one.
