Ernest OXNAM Obituary

Very sad news. I spoke with Ernie in late 2023 but we didn't get to catch up. Have fond memories of our time working in the BNZ & our battles with the little white ball. Condolences to Chris & the family.

So many lovely memories of shared times in the Hutt Valley, and when passing through Taupo, that welcoming smile and the twinkle in his eyes. A huge loss to the family, but be heartened that he loved you all and was so proud of you.
Christine you and Ernie had a wonderful marriage and partnership, raised handsome young men. A huge achievement. Greg and I extend our sincere condolences to you and the family. Kia Kaha.

So sad to hear of Ernie's passing. We go back to Murchison days at school, travelling to Motueka when we played for Golden Bay Motueka rugby, climbing the hill beside Murchison (photo) to change the battery on the Six Mile TV translator, boating (photo) to the head of Lake Rotoroa with his brother Alan and very shortly after photo was taken found the Outboard wouldn't start so had to row the 11 miles back to bottom of lake. Finally Ernie was Best man out our wedding back in 1973. Our thoughts are with you Christine and Family, sad that we haven't caught up in recent times.

Was saddened to hear of the death of Ernie. We worked together at the BNZ Murchison where Ernie began his banking career. My thoughts go out to Christine and the family.

I was so sorry to hear that Ernie had passed. I have so many happy memories of him as a colleague in BNZ. Sincere condolences to Christine and all the family.
