Eric BROWN Obituary

Only just read about Brownie's passing. Bugger. A good man and a good friend...
Wherever you are, go well mate..

Eric was a good friend of mine when we were at school together in England, Alleyn´s School in Dulwich, London. We were in the same class and played football and athletics in the school teams. I will be coming out to NZ in October for our daughters wedding and hoped to try and meet up with Eric if I could locate him. My daughter did some research and I was shocked and really sad when she found the obituary and that he had passed away very recently. He was really popular at school and I can see from the other comments that he was just as popular and loved in NZ as he was in London. I´m so sorry I didn´t get the chance to meet up again. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. David McEvoy.

In 20 years of serving Brownie I never heard a cross word. He was always polite, jovial and a pleasure to be around. His dad jokes and his laugh will be missed

Such sad news about Erics passing. Many condolences to the family and the Dufeu clan. I have so many fond memories playing with him in the 1980s Nelson United days. He will be sorely missed by all.
