Sorry to hear of Elwyn`s passing way.We lived quite close together and both went to Brooklyn school. His mum and my Dad were brother and sister. We spent every spare moment together swimming in the summer and skidding in warm cows poo barefoot in the winter to warm our frozen toes up.I dont think modern kids could face that at all but that was life and we got through it. We lost touch once we left primary school and I did not see him again until I was about 26.He was with an insurance company in Wellington at that time. After that we lost contact again as people do so did not see him again. My thoughts go out to his family at this sad time.

Elwyn leaves me with memories of such a gentle man. Loyal, quiet and strong. My Dad loved his younger brother very much. We grew up in different places but Elwyn was still very much part of our family in his presence through Dad. My thoughts are with you Anna and Shelley and your family. You are blessed to have had such a beautiful man for your father.
