I love the look of a pool table
I gaze upon one whenever I'm able,
Bright coloured balls, beautiful wood,
The long draw shot back to where I stood.

I love the smell of a pool hall,
I breathe them deeply, playing eight ball,
It's just old cigarette smoke and beer,
But I go in one whenever I'm near.

I love the touch of my pool cue,
The confidence it does imbue,
The way it glides between my fingers,
Gives a heart-warming feeling that really lingers.

I love the tastes of shooting pool,
A very cold beer is my usual rule.
Sometimes a coffee, perhaps a Jack,
To celebrate after potting black.

I've loved the sound of pool for years,
The chat, the laughter, and the tears.
Balls clicking gently, until they stop,
Quiet applause as the the last ball drops

Mr Ed. We will miss your wisdom, your acceptance of people just as they are and your ability to kindly correct those who spoke out of line. Rest in peace, you deserve it...but don't be shy to give Johnny a hand when he needs to keep his eye in wont you,
