Eden Edward Percival 'Ted' and Eden Royce Noeline Obituary

Ted (aged 98) passed away peacefully 13 days shy his 99th birthday at Summerset Richmond Ranges on 10th June 2025. After 71 wonderful years of marriage Ted is now reunited with his beloved wife Royce (aged 94) who passed away peacefully 11 days earlier on 30th May 2025 at Wakefield Homestead. Dearly loved and cherished parents and parents-in-law of Janet and Ray (dec), Richard and Kayleen, Stephen and Faye. Loved and adored grandparents of David, Elizabeth, Jason, Deon, Andrew, Nicholas, Emily, Annie and Matthew. Adored great grandparents of their 7 great grandchildren.

Ted and Royce will be farewelled together in a private memorial service.

I have many happy memories of Ted and Royce. From 1959 - 1968 I lived in the schoolhouse at 59 Ranzau Road, with my parents, Helen and Bernard Finch, and my twin brother, Peter Finch. Dad was the Headmaster (Principal) at Ranzau School and Mum taught there also. I knew the Edens through the Hope Tennis Club, school-related activities, picking peas in the summer holidays, going past their place on the way to Eden's Hole, school picnics and other occasions. Mum and Dad had much respect for Ted and Royce. In more recent years, when I would go up to Nelson to catch up with friends, I made several visits to see them at their lovely house in Pugh Road. Ted was such a gentleman and we were lucky to be able to care and spend time with him in those final years, he is really missed.

So very sorry to read of both Royce & Ted´s passing. They were wonderful friends to my Mum & Dad (Alma & John Knox).
