Douglas Herbert (Doug):
Passed away peacefully in Nelson with Robyn at his side, on Monday, April 24, 2023, aged 91 years. Beloved partner of Robyn Gordon, and much loved husband of Christine Sarkies (deceased). Cherished father and father-in-law of Catherine and Wayne Sinclair, the late Jayne Sarkies, Robert Sarkies and Vicky Pope, Duncan Sarkies and Nicola Marshall. Treasured Grandad of Curtis and Justine Sinclair, Regan Sinclair and Kirsty Coombs, Stanley Sarkies and Max Sarkies. Loved Great- Grandad of Jordie Sinclair. Older brother of Isobel, Joan, Owen and Keith.
Lived life to the full because "Hey, life is for living!"
A service to celebrate Doug's life will be held at the Shone and Shirley Funeral Home, 164 Tahunanui Drive, Nelson, at 1.00pm on Saturday, April 29. Fare thee well lovely Doug. We already miss your infectious laugh. We'll never forget you on our trips away and your cool camper van that our little boys loved to explore.
