If you are reading this death notice it means I passed away, at 2.00pm on September 18, 2025. Being a retired project manager, does one get to organize one's send off and write this death notice. Of course. Was I on time? I will say no as my 72 years has been cut short too soon, but the specialists think I have overrun their expectations. On budget, who cares except maybe Pharmac and the drugs they have funded over the past 8 years living with metastatic prostate cancer. Quality, what a life I have had and shared with my dear late wife Sue and my lovely family, Rachel, Andrew, and Sarah. So many adventures, memories and happy fun times. And of course, thank to my dear sister Fiona and her family, Sue's family, and all my lovely friends both locally and throughout NZ and the world. Thanks also for the care by Nelson Hospital specialists and staff especially Anna, Nelson Tasman Hospice, Summerset in the Sun and my GP Mark and nurses at Stoke Medical. Thank you for making my life so full and memorable. Family and friends are invited to join Rachel, Andrew and Sarah at Tahuna Beach Function Centre, at 1.00pm on Friday, October 3, to reflect and share their memories over a cuppa and as Sue would have wanted, funeral pies. Bye for now, Don.
