It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our very much loved Don. A very special Dad, Grandad and Great-Grandad. Father and father-in-law of Triena and Barry King (Takaka). Grandfather of Jason and Ella King (Takaka); Melissa King and Michael Baker (Takaka); Great-Grandfather of Kurt, Haylee-Jay, Harry, Ryan and April. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Peter and Irene Schultz (Australia) and cousin of Dawn Nissen (Auckland). Messages to King family, PO Box 1, Takaka 7142.
Dear Dad, after all those years apart a phone call changed my life and we got close again. Memories shared. Now we are apart again. Thank you for being part of my life and my family's lives. Now sadly we have to let you go again. Rest in peace Dad. - Triena.
A service for Don will be held at Marsden House Funeral Home, 41 Nile Street East, Nelson, on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at 1.00pm.

It was good to have chats with Don & Joan at the Nelson Cathedral and the Nelson RSA in my former role as president and more recently at Don's home in Grove St Nelson.
