It is with a heavy heart that I recognise the joy I had having Diane as a friend - her recommendations for the best movies to watch - her dedication to the Soroptomists group here in Nelson and her love for her family. I knew her more for her love of tennis and her volunteering for different projects. Thank you Diane

Thank you Diane for
Being so awesome
Over the last few months/years in your inherited role as landlady always finding a way to help with problems and Covid.
From being my English teacher at Otaki College too many years I care to remember to marrying one of Dad's friends and then becoming our landlady and not to forget a very good no fuss customer at Penelope's. Will never forget the day you wanted a size 20 Jacket and suggested why couldn't we just get two size 10 Jackets and sew them together to make it into a size 20. Always trying to solve problems with no fuss using your school teacher's logic. Always taking things in your stride and very quick and willing to help others. You will be sadly missed
Kindest

Cousin, I have just been informed of your passing. I and my family send our heartfelt condolences to your family.
One of my lasting memories of you is the great fun water-fights you and my dad had, whether at Te-P uni street or KoroKoro road homes when we came to visit, or the time you took to help me practice driving for my license in the cortina.
Rest in peace cousin Diane.
Your cousin Jack E.J. Thomson.
