Diana MACMILLAN Obituary
Diana Roie Rachel
(nee Thorpe):
Peacefully, surrounded by all her family, at Nelson Hospital on Saturday, January 9, 2021, aged 82. Wonderful loving wife of Howard for more than 60 years; mother and mother-in-law of Hugh and Saralinda, Michael and Jackie, Daniel, Benjamin, and Shaun; special sister and sister-in-law of Jay and Anne Thorpe, Michael and Julie Thorpe, Simon and Jill MacMillan, and the late Mark MacMillan. Loved Grandmother of her 10 grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of pottery, painting and sculpture along with her amazing and abundant flower and vegetable gardens. We will miss Diana but have wonderful memories to treasure. The funeral service to celebrate Diana's life will be held at Hope Garden of Remembrance Chapel, 95 Clover Road East, Hope, on Saturday, January 16, at 2.00pm. The service will be livestreamed. A loving farewell to a lady I admired at a very young age over 50 years ago when I lived just up the road in Blair Tce. Diana & Howard both people who inspired my love of creativity. You have left some wonderful memories.
