On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, peacefully at Summerset In The Sun, Stoke, aged 93 years. Adored wife and forever partner of Russell Brighouse for 72 years, wonderful mother and mentor to Daryl, Paul (deceased), Deborah and Michael and their partners. Loved and loving grandmother and great-grandmother whose love will be missed deeply. As requested by Russell during this intimate and difficult time, an immediate family only service then private cremation will take place this Saturday, January 28. A full celebration of Des's life will be held at a later date with friends and family to acknowledge the love we had for her – and her for us. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful and caring support given by the Summerset In The Sun Care Centre team who made her last weeks full of fun and laughter.
