Dearly loved and loving husband of Lucie; superdad for Tim, and Oliver; beloved and respected father-in-law of Jasmine, and Kelsi; adored by his grandchildren Elizabeth, and Edward. A lovely man, a gentleman, joker, leader, role-model, excellent raconteur and BBQ chef, singer, actor, wine connoisseur, fisherman extraordinaire, pillar of the community; intelligent, thoughtful, generous, loyal, and the light of our lives.
An exemplary family man who served his community well.

Friends of Dennis are respectfully informed that a private cremation has been held. Messages to Marsden House, 41 Nile Street East, Nelson 7010. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nelson Tasman Hospice would be greatly appreciated.

I have great memories of Dennis playing cricket,and football at Miramar park as a boy.Dennis was also a member of the Rongotai class of 1969 club,and it was always great catching up with him.He always wore his collage cap,I think he lived in fear of getting a detention for not wearing it at a school function.A kind and intelligent man,Dennis could not make it to our last get together but we did raise a glass to him,and will at our next function.
