Dawn Alexandra:
Passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017, at The Wood Retirement Village, Nelson. Eldest child of Alex and Mavis Innes; cherished and dearly loved wife of the late Michael Oaten; loved and respected sister of Margaret, Darrell, Ross, and Liz; sister-in-law of Alex Sinclair (deceased), Jill, Dale (deceased), and David Johnson; loved and adored Auntie Dawn of her nieces and nephews. Dawn's funeral will take place at All Saints Anglican Church, 30A Vanguard Street, Nelson, on October 2, at 2.30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Nelson School of Music at the service or posted to 142 Collingwood Street, Nelson. Messages to 41 Nile Street East, Nelson.

Dawn was my step-mum for 44 years. I last returned to NZ September 2015 and even though it was difficult, I managed to make sure we had happy moments. I'm so sorry you've gone Dawn. Too much was left unsaid and we can never have that chance again. I'm thinking of you. I loved you, Chaela
