On Monday, October 14, 2024, suddenly at his home in Nelson. Aged 48. Cherished husband and soulmate of Helen. Beloved son of the late Mieke, Dave and Martina. Best friend and twin brother of the late Susan (Ireland). Treasured son-in-law of Ruth and Ross Mainland (Wellington). Brother-in-law of Fiona and Paul Cameron, niece Catherine and nephew George (UK). Special nephew and cousin to his family in Ireland, Italy and Holland. Loyal friend of many in Ireland and New Zealand. Respected colleague of those from NZKS and Sealord.

Dave I´m so sad to hear of your passing. Taken far too young. I loved our chats and laughs at the end of my shift but the start of yours. You were truely the most genuine person i have ever met. It was a real pleasure to get to know you. Respect and condolences to the wider Murphy family. xxx
