On Thursday, October 1, 2015, peacefully at home. Dearly loved husband of Julia. Loved father of Catherine and Glenn Spiller, and Malcolm and Angela Forsyth. Treasured grandfather of Rico, Sabine and LouisSpiller, and Quincy and Caleb Forsyth. Son of the late Allan Raine and Vida Marion Forsyth. Brother of Judy and Bill, Malcom and Jaci, Felicity and John, and Hugh and Trish.

You were a lot of fun Dave with the jokes and stories we shared when you called at Hammer Hardware, or on Howick Tramping Club outings. I'll always treasure the day we spent together at Rangitoto Station in 2011 putting rat bait out in the bush to protect our wonderful Kokako. I know how much you enjoyed that day and being with all the club members at that special place. Rest in peace Dave and thanks for your meaningful contribution to conservation in New Zealand. Was a pleasure knowing you David and Sally will forever treasure the Celtic Pendant you made for her. Whilst we are unable to attend on Wednesday our thoughts will be with you plus Sally will be wearing her treasure.
