Darcy BURROWS Obituary
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of former sportsman/cricketer Darcy Neil Burrows at Nelson Hospital, on December 30, 2023. Had a great innings, but was Run out for 83. Husband to Shirley. Dad to Mark and Oanh (Perth), Grant and Viv (Perth), Warren and Deb. G Daddy to Little Darcy (Perth), Ryan (Perth), Riley and Zuko, Marlee. Much loved brother of Roy and Sarah Burrows, and Jenny and Malcolm Reid.

In accordance with Darcy's wishes a private Cremation service has been held. A memorial service will be held a later date. A special thanks to the fantastic Doctors and Nurses at Nelson Hospital and also the amazing carers at Jack Inglis Aged Care Home in Motueka.

Dear Mrs Burrows, I´m saddened to learn of your loss. I have fond memories of our interactions over the back fence my Dads house shared with the hop research station as well as later as a teenager @ the Riwaka hotel. Your husband a character & a local legend. He will be missed. Condolences to you & you sons. I´ve not heard from Mark in ages. Hope him & his brothers are all well.

So sorry you were run out not far short of a deserved 100 Darcy. I did so enjoy your company and love of all things cricket in Riwaka late 80's. Graeme Powell
