Cyril MARTIN Obituary
On May 13, 2023 at Stillwater Garden Resthome. Aged 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Kath. Loved father and father-in-law of Di and Sean McBride, Judy and Gordon Heeley, Peter and Diana, Darianne and Geoff Atterton, and Di Hamilton. Loved granddad to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved brother of Nolan Martin and brother-in-law of Flora (Dec), Loved brother of Pat Hodgson (dec) and brother-in-law of Terry (dec), loved brother of Betty Simpson and brother-in-law of Ted (dec). The friends of Cyril are respectively informed that his funeral service will be held at Marsden House, 41 Nile Street East, Nelson on Wednesday, May 17 at 1.00pm.

A big man with a big heart. Thanks for your guidance as a teenager entering the retail world at Neale and Haddow.

Our condolences to Cyril's family on this sad occasion. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
This photo was taken on the 24th March 2022. Howard and I took Cyril out to lunch to celebrate his birthday. He choose 'The Smugglers' in Tahunanui as he loved their food. He knew the menu off by heart and just ordered straight away. Cyril was a dear friend to me, Howard and our children. We will miss you Cyril xxxxx

What a great age, I remember Cyril from YMCA and Shooting at Barton range, my grandson Chris liked his voice, on our way home from shooting he would imitate Cyril. Great memories. RIP

A loved father & great worker with numerous community groups. Many years I worked with Cyril at YMCA basketball where he was always available in many roles.
