Claire HIGGINS Obituary
Claire Leonora Ellen
(nee Condon):
Passed away peacefully, after a short illness, at Nelson Tasman Hospice, Saturday, June 3, 2023; Aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Brian (dec 2003), and very much loved mother of the late Gary (dec 1990), Brent and Julie. Loved grandmother to Jamie, Lisa and Andrew, Tom and Hamish, and Tyler, Kane, Jewel and Lacy. Great-grandmother to Henry, Casper, Taylor and Pippa. Many thanks for the special care from Jane Strang, and the staff of Ward 10. Claire's family also wish to acknowledge the fabulous care and dedication of the staff at the Regional Hospice. In accordance with Claire's wishes, a private cremation has taken place.

Claire was such a kind, supportive friend when I was driving through to Rotoiti from Tutaki each day to teach at the school. I remember her taking me for an evening dip in the (not very warm) lake.

Our thoughts are with you all at this time. We have many fond memories of Claire and Brian, from Spring Grove Church of Christ days who were just a little younger than our parents. We especially remember great times at staying up the Lake at Bonnie Doon.
