Christopher BARTON Obituary

BARTON, Christopher Bertram Ronald, passed away on August 18, 2013, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 85 years. Much loved husband of Rosemary for 47 years, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Angela and Glenn Samson, and adored grandfather of Ryan and Callum. Loved brother of Anthony (Bordeaux, France) and son of the late Derick and Joan (Straffan, Ireland).
Now at peace.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the fantastic staff of Ward 14, for their care over the last three weeks of our loved husband and father. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Chris Barton, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to the New Zealand Rowing Foundation would be appreciated, and may be made at the service. A Celebration of Chris's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch, on Friday, August 23, at 2.00pm.

Chris was a true Gentleman A loving father to Angela and son in law Glen ,to Rosemary his loving Wife and a great grandad to Callum and Ryan who will miss him greatly. It was a pleasure knowing Chris for over 37years. Rest in peace Chris you well deserve it. from Hefina,Brian, Sian, Rhian in Australia,and David UK.
