To Dr Jim and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Cath's passing and our thoughts are with you.
It was truly a great privileged to have not only you Jim as our family GP but to have your lovely wife Cath care for us in the Nelson Maternity Ward when our babies were born, her sincere care and support were invaluable.
In 1990 Cath introduced us to the world of disposable nappies when she unexpectedly called into our home after baby number three in almost as many years was a few days old, she spotted the several dozen nappies hanging on the clothesline and produced a pack of disposable ones, she then went on to chat about the costs of cloth verse disposable - Cath you were absolutely right cloth nappies at that time were neither economically, physically or environmentally friendly when everything was considered.
So thank you Cath for your support both in and out of the Nelson Hospital Maternity Ward you really were The Mother of Millions and may you rest in peace.
