Have just been told about Caroline's passing.
I loved teaching Tim and Becky, serving with you Tony on the B.O.T. and appreciated the warmth and vitality of Caroline.
Tony, I realise that you have lost someone very special.

I was one of many people to attend Caroline's funeral. It was a moving occasion and I appreciated you sharing so much of your life with us. Very few people have the emotional and cognitive intelligence that Caroline had. Caroline was someone who was loved for her kindness and thoughtfulness and respected for her incredible capability in so many areas. My last memory of her was at Wellington airport when she was so excited to be travelling away with you Tony and seeing new places. She crammed so much into her too short life.
This must be an incredibly sad time for you all. Please know that you are in the thoughts of many and I hope that in time the memories will help you.

We were stunned to hear about Caroline's tragic accident. I feel honoured to have known Caroline since university days in Dunedin; such a lovely caring person. It's so hard to believe that we will no longer see her out on the pavements. Our sincerest sympathy to you all.

I share so many memories of her from our early days of getting to know her through plunket groups to being involved with gala and activities at Ngaio School. Sympathies with all who hold this special woman in their hearts. I did not know her but as a paekakariki resident feel so sad for your loss after this tragic event. Please do know that so many of us within the community we are sending you prayers and thoughts.

So terribly sorry to learn of this tragic accident, and our thoughts and prayers are with all your family Tony. We'll always remember our family adventure floating semi-submerged down the Wairoa river, and coming up smiling regardless.

Caroline's untimely death is a terrible loss and she had given so much already, with so much more to give. Her intelligent and thoughtful work as a highly regarded public servant was an invaluable contribution to good government and the wellbeing of the whole community. Sincere sympathies to her family and many friends.

A true tragedy, it has affected our community, we are all soo sorry for your loss. Our hearts go out to your family and friends. Rest in peace and you will never be forgotton!

What an absolute tragedy. Caroline and family have been robbed of many great years ahead. My heart goes out to them.

Who could possibly imagine that such a thing could happen on a quiet Sunday morning in the village?

RIP Caroline. I have fond memories of our time on cricket boundaries. And that incredible catch of Tim's that saved you. I will miss you greatly. Particularly our random chats on the train home to Ngaio.
