Brian BATCHELOR Obituary
On November 15, 2019, peacefully at Oakwoods Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, 3 days short of his 91st birthday. Dearly loved husband of Dawn for 62 years; much loved father and father-in-law of Tony and Barbara, Gary, Murray and Marlene, and the late Janet. Loved Grandad of Josh and Kimberley, Laura and Kimberley, Nicola, Tom and Michelle, Stacey, Amy, Ellen and Stefan, and Oliver; adored great-grandad of Dylan, Lillie, Harper, and Jimi; and 3 great-grandchildren on the way. Brian's family wish to thank Dr. Wayne Hurlow and the staff at Oakwoods for their dedication and professional care. The Funeral service to celebrate Brian's life will be held at St Michael's Anglican Church, Waimea West, on Thursday, November 21, at 1.00pm.

We were sorry to hear of Mr Batchelors passing. He will always be remembered as a wonderful and respected teacher at Brightwater School. We were all very lucky to have had Mr Batchelor as our teacher. Our thoughts are with the Batchelor family at this time.

Brian Was a fair teacher and a fine oustanding man in the Brightwater community. So sad to hear of his passing. A great man. He never be forgotten.

I was so sorry to read that my favourite teacher from Brightwater School has passed. I have such fond memories of Mr Batchelor as a teacher and well respected leader in my primary school years. I was lucky enough to catch up with him at Brightwater School 150 year anniversary. My deepest sympathy to his family.
