So sorry to hear , My Dad knew Basil for years and had a car yard across from him many years ago. In years gone by Basil would pop in for a WOF and always take our glasses as he would forget His, As a Kid It was always fun to walk over and look at all the neat cars.
All our Love the Henman Family.

Dear Laurel and the family. So sorry to hear of Basil's passing. We have such great Speedway memories. On the track Basil and Ian had many a battle which was great entertainment but off the track there was much fun, laughter and banter. Basil had such a great sense of humour and we enjoyed being with you both at many Speedway events around the country. So sorry we can't be there tomorrow as we are down south at the moment but we will be thinking of you all. We're sure there will be many stories told. You will have many happy memories to help you at this sad time. Love from Ian and Pam Askew

Sad to hear of this. Nelson won't be the same without your presence Basil Jones. You had a good sense of wit and business. To Cindy and John and family, may his legacy live on. Sunshine on your heads always.
