Basil FRIEND Obituary
Basil passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, aged 73. Loved husband of Juanita (for 51 years), loved and treasured father and father-in-law of Kerry and Sharlene, Darren and Janine, Cara and Andrew. Much loved grandad of Mitchell, Josh, Jayden, Leah, Max and Kayla. Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Ray and Marie; the late Christine and the late Henry, Gaynor and Rex; and the late Lenora, and a much loved Uncle and friend to many. Messages to 7 Gladstone Road, Richmond 7020. In lieu of flowers donations in Basil's memory to the Nelson Tasman Hospice would be greatly appreciated and these can be left at the service. A service celebrating Basil's life will be held at the Whakatu Presbyterian Church, 271 Songer Street, Stoke, on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 11.00am, followed by interment at Marsden Valley Cemetery.

Sorry to hear of Basil's death. Alister often met Basil when shooting up the Aniseed Valley and we did know that Bail had been ill. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Memories are precious take care Janet and Alister Smith
