Basil FORD Obituary

Died peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Te Nikau Hospital, Greymouth, after enduring the afflictions of cerebellar ataxia, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband and friend of Diane, son of the late Tom and Cath, dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Tony (deceased) and Val, Judy and Ross Nichol, Jane and Paul Teen, Kevin and Glenice, loved brother- in-law of David, a special friend of Nicola, Dean and Jo, Brodie, Ashton, Faith, and Celina, a much loved uncle of his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a cousin and friend. A farewell service for Basil will be held in the Hokitika RSA, 22 Sewell Street, Hokitika, tomorrow (Thursday), at 1.00pm, after which Basil will be laid to rest at the Hokitika Cemetery.

Sending my condolences to the Ford Families, my thoughts are with you all at this sad time. To Basil, Bazz, Pete, a long-life friend, at farming, sheep shearing, shooting, rugby, the pub, and of course socializing here, there, and everywhere.
