Dear Min & Family, My deepest condolences to you all. I have fond memories of working for Rod, he was my first full time employer starting in 1980! We were a great team! I remember him lighting his pipe the second he got into the precious tan VW beetle to go home for lunch most days. That distinct sound of the beetle coming back down the side of the building warned us the boss was back and lunch break was over! I also remember how he loved Wednesday afternoons as he would go off fly fishing for the afternoon if he wasn't away skiing! Rod was well respected by his patients, and I still recall some of his long-standing regular patients we both had a great relationship with them. I remember trying to work when the building got a major make over with builders, noise and dust to deal with and nervous patients, it was a challenging time but the results were great and now the building has long since gone to make way for the road past the Cathedral in Trafalgar Squarel. I even remember Rods birthday in October!!! I particularly remember the new Audi's! that would arrive back in NZ after Rod worked in the UK. I have a love of Audi's too although they are not new!!! He was a character RIP Rod

A good friend from the 60s and 70s, Rod introduced me to skiing and trout fishing and I have many happy memories of those days. Very sad to learn of Rod's death. I know he will be missed by family and friends. Farewell Rod.

Rod was a well liked and respected colleague who practised Dentistry with honesty, enthusiasm and integrity.
Physically fit he epitomised the typical Kiwi´s love of the outdoors.
Our thoughts are with Rods family and especially his beloved wife and partner Min.
