My deepest sympathy to Anita´s family.
Anita was a Blessing to so many. She had so much love to share with all who knew her.
It is an honour to have known her and Lynn since the 70´s. Anita was a kind considerate, supportive and a very caring neighbour to my late husband Tony McNally when they were in Locking St.
You will miss greatly her but what a legacy of love she has left her family.
RIP Anita in Jesus´s arms.

Such a wonderful caring lady! We were lucky enough to live near the Hannen's during a period when we, were struggling financially. Anita ( who had worked with my Mum at Knapps many years ago) was SO kind to us. She was always ringing saying Lynn had been to the market and got this or that... boxes of bananas etc which she seemed to share generously with many Kawai St/Locking St locals. She also had us added to a list at "Granny Scott's Bakery" where they rang at 5pm and you had until 5.30 to drive down and pick up all their leftover"goodies" which we then froze for the kids school lunches. I remember my eldest two boys ( now 50) having tea at Hannens one night and coming home raving about a yellow vegetable Anita had served. I phoned to sort the mystery. Swede - which I love but Sean wont eat, so I'd not cooked it for them. It very soon became a staple! I'm so sorry that we aren't able to attend Anita's service tomorrow, as I'd have loved to have caught up with you all but we will be there in spirit, as we will watch the livestream and we will always think very kindly of your family, Anita especially.
