Andrew MARWICK Obituary

My first posting in the NZ Forest Service was to Central Westland District. Andy was District Ranger in an area where all aspects of forestry were being practiced, from native logging to pine planting. It was a great place to learn and Andy gave me every opportunity. I respected him greatly and have kept in touch (too infrequently) for the last 54 years. I last had contact on December 23 and he said how lucky he was to have family close by including 6 grandchildren that he was proud of.

I remember Andy very well from the Hokitika days and have the fondest memories and respect for him. A really good District Ranger, fine work ethic's who could always see the wood from the trees
