Good evening been away in north island and have just seen
Alan was a top man
I worked with Alan in Park's and Resves as a horticulture apprentice
You always respected him as he was always showing the safest way to do anything
Always story's at morning tea or lunchtime
Always remember his little red mini he had
Got a ride with him sometimes when it was wet
As I had a motorcycle and often say I pick you up if it was raining
Sorry for your loss

Hello Mavis, - I am so sorry to read of Allan's passing in todays Christchurch Press, pleased that we caught up when last in Nelson and at the Leeston School Reunion, not many of our class left now. We had much in common with shearing in the early days and then farming. I always enjoyed our catch-ups, and I held him in high regards and with the greatest of respect.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Hello Mavis and family - so sorry to hear of Allan's passing. Many memories of working together for the Reserves Department. Also recall Allan and my Dad talking about white-baiting over in Takaka. Had the opportunity to play a few bowls with him as well. Thoughts are with you - Allan Griffiths
