So sad to hear off Allan,s passing. I will miss the wise cracks we always had when playing bowls. A good friend who always had time for a chat and we had many when we worked together at NCC.

Griff was a true friend during my late teens. I remember him and I and Russ drove to ChCh in a Morris Minor to see Lou Reed in concert. " and the coloured girls go do da doot " We sang those Lou Reed songs a lot in those days, probably 1977. Good memories, Ric Ford

Sorry to receive this sad news of Griff. As a colleague in the Parks and Recreation Department of Council I appreciated his enthusiasm for the treescape and sports fields of the City. A good bloke with a ready smile.

Saddened to hear of Griffs departure from the planet.
Such fond memories of our badminton days, our connections when Alan was an advocate for the vulnerable, his involvement with my Mum and Dad in Badminton & bowls. A cheeky livewire, great party goer in the 70´s. A unique soul, thanks for the memories x
