25.6.1931 - 7.9.2016
Died peacefully at home in Whataroa, aged 85 years, after a battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. Dearly loved daughter of the late Alec and Dot (Doris) Carter, of Aorere, Rockville, Bainham, and Pakawau. Dearly loved wife of the late Stan. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Graeme and Kirsty (Hokitika), Margaret and Wayne Williams (Fox Glacier) and Phillip and Tracy (Whataroa). Dearly loved grandmother of Alisha, Brodie, Chloe and the late Nicole Northcroft, Johnny, Emma, Ben and Laura Williams and Angus Northcroft. Dearly loved great-grandmother of Riley. Dearly loved sister of the late Ruth Grainger (London), the late Elsie Woodhouse (Wellington), and the late Pearl Carter (Bainham). A special thanks to the South Westland Healthcare team who enabled Mum to stay at home. Messages to 106 Purcell Rd, RD 1, Whataroa 7886. The service for Vera will be held at St Luke's Anglican Church, Whataroa, commencing at 1.30pm, on Saturday, September 17, burial to follow at the Whataroa Cemetery.

A very special Aunty to the Rennie family. Treasured memories of staying at the Totaras for Grandfather's birthday celebrations many years ago. And the hospitality of Uncle Stan and Aunty Vera. Thoughts are with our Westland cousins and their families at this sad time, will be with you in spirit as you celebrate Aunty Vera's life on Saturday.
