Died peacefully at the Summerset Care Village in Stoke, Nelson. Loved husband of the late Winsome. Loved father of; Roger, Beth and Duncan, and in-laws of; Kathryn, Grant and Mary. Loved Grandad of; Mark, Rachel and Luke, Holly and Fin, Carla and Kirsten. Loved special friend of Joy. Loved previous in-law of Elizabeth. The Funeral Service for Bruce will be held at Stoke Methodist Church, 94 Neale Avenue, Stoke, Nelson, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, commencing at 11.00am.

Hello
I want to pass on our sympathies and best wishes to you all having just seen that Bruce passed away a few days ago. I am a second cousin who got to know Bruce and Winsome when we lived in Nelson between 1987 and 1994. My father, Peter Mitchell, was one of Bruce's, Gordon Glassford cousins.
My husband, John, and I worked at Nayland College with Gerald Newman and Bruce explained the family link to Helen Newman (Waldron) at a time when my knowledge of family history was considerably less than it is now.
Bruce and Winsome were always very kind and welcoming. On one of several occasions at their house, we met you, Duncan.
Bruce lived a long life and I wish you all the very best in the weeks ahead.

So sorry to read of Bruce´s passing. What a great age. He and I only a few months ago made contact on messenger.
