I was truly saddened to hear about the passing of Alan. My heart goes out to Mo and the family during this difficult time, and I want to express my deepest condolences.
I will always cherish the fond memories I shared with Alan, especially those Sunday lunches at my parents' house where laughter and warmth filled the air. The numerous camping weekends at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix were truly unforgettable, with Alan's infectious enthusiasm making each trip a joy; he even got given the title of ‘Auntie Alan’ for looking after us. The camaraderie we experienced during those camping adventures created lasting bonds and wonderful moments that will be etched in my heart forever.
Another memory that springs to mind is the last beer(s) I shared with Alan (Bass in a jug!) at The Brickies during his last trip over to Coventry. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the conversation flowed effortlessly, creating a cherished moment that captured the essence of our friendship.
Alan was a remarkable person, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mo, may you find strength and solace in the loving memories you shared together. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this incredibly challenging time.
With heartfelt sympathy, Mark.
