STARK, Norman:
Born Gateshead, County Durham, UK, November 8, 1931, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Stoke, Nelson. Son of John (Jack) and Isabella (née Carswell). Husband of the late Cath (Edna May Catherine) (née Cross). Brother of the late Ronald, the late Peggy (Margaret) Nickels, and Joan Whipp. Uncle of Sam and Jan, Barb and Joe, and Mike and Donna; Great-Uncle of Tessa, Great-Great-Uncle to Izzy; Father-in-law to Sayo (Sayonara) and Angelo, Poppy to Cassie; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews in Australia, Canada, the US and the UK. Formerly of the British Army, the New Zealand Army, and General Motors; former Youth Worker in the Hutt area of Wellington; former resident of Gateshead UK, Slough UK, Wellington, Upper Hutt, Carteron, Masterton, London UK and Nelson. A morning tea will be held on Monday, September 18, at Flat 18/124 Toi Toi Street (entrance off Vosper Street) at 2.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St John's Ambulance Service, cards and letters to PO Box 7090, Nelson Mail Centre, Nelson 7042. I remember Norman Stark working in the Petone Church around 1987,and also him being at the AGM in Petone. Until he shifted away to Nelson,I think he was often in the Church. We were sorry to see him go.
